West Lancashire Mark Charities donate funds for two chairs

10th February 2016

Representatives from Chorley Mark Mason's accompanied by our Provincial Grand Master Keith Alan Beardmore visited Rosemere Cancer Trust at Preston Royal Hospital to present a cheque from Lawrence Mark Lodge Chorley for £1200.00 for the purchase of two chairs for the Ribblesdale Ward to be used in the two quiet rooms which are used by the patients and their families.   These rooms have recently been refurbished and the chairs where part of that refurbishment.
As you know, Rosemere supports local cancer treatment and services across Lancashire and South Cumbria, funding those things that fall outside the scope of the NHS.  Rosemere also invests in cancer research undertaken within the region to give patients early access in new treatments and latest techniques.    9,000 people are diagnosed with cancer across our region every year, which equates to 1 in 3 of us having a diagnosis at some point in our lives.  It is therefore vital that we bridge the gap and ensure that local people get the best care and treatment when they need it most.
